The PS-21 detrashing screen is used in recycled paper and pulp processing. After waste paper is mixed with water in a pulper, the screen separates usable fiber from contaminants such as: Plastic film String and rope Wire Staples and metal fragments Tape Large debris and trash The unit is typically part of a detrashing system, where pulp slurry passes through perforated screens while larger contaminants are retained and discharged. The goal is to recover as much fiber as possible while removing debris before downstream screening and cleaning equipment Also included is the valves and trash conveyors
